Otaru is a port city, known for its fresh seafood, its historical buidlings and in winter for its Otaru Yuki Akari no Michi (Snow Light Path Festival). During this festival the town is decorated and light up with many beatiful and creative ice and snow structures filled with candels. Many of them contain dried leaves and flowers.
After this short stop in Otaru, the trip continued to Sapporo.
